Rage for PS3 is an action-filled game that has the elements of First Person Shooter (FPS) as well as the features of a Role-Playing Game (RPG).  This game, developed by id Software, is also expected to be an attention-grabbing product since the developer has been known to give names to game products such as Wolfenstein, Doom and Quake.

The setting of this game is in the post-apocalyptic time, similar to the game Borderlands and Fallout 3. The environs of this game are grim and treacherous. The character one will be playing would be coming out from a chamber, battling the dangerous landscape and transfers into a world unheard of after. The game has a lot of missions and sub-missions to accomplish such as finding guns and collecting items. The id Software has been known to release single-player games, but they are going multi-player this time on Rage.

The game does not have the conventional walking multi-player modes. In its place, multiplayer is in the dominion of Rage Combat Rally. Players get to play collaboratively whether it is online or the Local Area Network. As on progresses in the game, there missions to be accomplished which you can undertake with other players. This feature adds spice to the game as the mission becomes slightly altered when it is played by a single player only. Different perspective of events can possibly be unraveled.

Rage for PC

Rage for PC is a First Person Shooter (FPS) game developed by id Software, which was first known during the announcement at QuakeCon last August 2007. This game made use of the company’s new id Tech 5 engine, producing high quality video effects.

This game is set in the post-apocalyptic world, similar to the game Fallout. In the interview with the game designer, Tim Willis, he disclosed that the game would be giving a preview of the not-so-far future and after which, the impact of the asteroid 99942 Aphophis. Rage is influenced by racing and driving which is similar to that of MotorStorm and Burnout. As the game progresses, players are able to upgrade their cars from the money they earn in the races they get involved in.

The game also has features of Role-Playing Game (RPG) elements. Players would be able to personalize and modify their weapons. The survivors preserved by the asteroid are the ones who have been left to thrive in the Earth. Mutants are also existent, which will serve as the player’s enemies at least for the game’s first half. Change in mission could be seen in the midpoint of the game.

Rage for PC has two multi-player approaches – Combat Rally and the Legends of the Wasteland. Combat Rally can be played up to six players and everyone has the free hand to play in the arena. To kill and steal the points of the opponents is the objective of this game mode. On the other hand, Legends of the Wasteland is a two-player game mode wherein the players will have to collaborate in order to fulfill their mission.

Due to be released on the 13^th of September this year in North America and on the 16^th of September in Europe, Rage for PC is indeed a technological wonder of this century as it garnered awards from IGN Media for being the “Best Game” and the “Best First Person Shooter” awards. In August 23, 2037 Apophis 99942 hits the eastern hemisphere and carrying a force of 2.4 million megatons, 30% of life on Earth becomes extinct in 26 seconds. , Apophis contained large amounts of heavy elements that affected life and within one year 80% of all life is gone.  The Earth was ravaged and devastated and nature is affected as well.  Seasons cease to change for 50 years and man experienced only winter during this time.  When the survivors emerge to the surface they are meet with mutants, and a psycho government trying to create a New World Order.

As seen in Rage trailer, screenshots and preview, , in an effort to save human civilization, Arks are constructed and buried deep underground. These cryogenic lifeboats carry humanity’s future, preserved with the tools they need to rebuild. They are the seeds of Earth’s rebirth.

But when survivors begin to emerge from the Arks, they find the unexpected. Many humans who were above ground during the impact unexpectedly survived, while horrific mutants roam the dead cities. And a mysterious tyrannical government, bent on creating a new world order, has begun.

RAGE’s appeal is less about its collective consciousness. Everything has been perfectly well executed, from the visceral satisfaction of shooting bandits to tearing across the Wasteland in the buggy, from the environmental kills that come with elemental ammo types to the unique bandits, ideas seen before, but rarely executed so beautifully.

The visual quality of the game is nearing perfection. The details of the objects in this game are magnified, making it seem real. The water pools of the virtual world are like crystal clear. It also has a high-speed frame rate and is bursting with colors making it surreal.

Rage Release Date

Rage release date is expected on September 13th, 2011 in the North America while the European launch will occur on the 16^th of September 2011. This should be marked on your calendar as the date is fast coming near.

Rage was developed by id Software using the company’s new id Tech engine. This game is published by Bethesda and developed by Creative Director Tim Willits. Rage id, A Look Inside the Game

According to game designer Tim Willits, Rage id is their newest id Software and he calls it a first person action game.  Rage id, a look inside the game showed added more elements and players to make the experience more exciting-where there are more people-combat and more people-racing; and a much deeper exciting story, Willits said. Rage uses the company’s new id Tech 5 engine. The basic story is surviving in the post future in this world similar to other popular video games developed earlier.  The game is set in the post apocalyptic world following the impact of the asteroid that created ravage and devastation on earth.

There inhabitants are against various types of enemies such as bandits and mutants, which serve as the player’s main enemies. The developers and designers of Rage id, a look inside the game hinted some sort of significant change around halfway point in the storyline and a mystery discovery to boot.

Rage has 2 multiplayer modes in Combat Rally and Legends of the Wasteland. In Combat Rally, up to six players compete in a free-for-all match that takes place in an arena designed to make use of the vehicles. The objective is to collect rally points that appear around the arena while killing your opponents and stealing their points. Legends of the Wasteland is a series of two-player bonus co-op missions based on stories that you hear about as you play the single player campaign.

Rage will also features an inventory system and the capabilities of weapons based around types of ammo. Players have the option to customize their weapons. Tim Willits informed that the game’s core is a first person shooter with car-combat added in and with the racing being the sole and central focal point.

Rage id, a look inside the game, as Willits revealed, is said to have been designed as another pillar of software with a unified universe in mind, so developers and designers can build other games on top of the universe for variety of visuals and engineering technology with a key goal to make Rage definitely better than any other games.

Pre-Order Rage the Game

With just a few months to go and gaming enthusiasts will have the revelation of Bethesda Softwork’s much awaited game- Rage. Many of its avid fans are waiting for its special edition pack “Anarchy Edition” featuring tons of goodies and in-game bonuses with pre-order Rage the Game.
